Great sushi ?

Very good service, especially from the gentleman who gave us very pleasant assistance last night at the bar. We were a little desperate because we had no idea what to order. He then simply asked us what other sushi we like to eat and he put together an incredibly delicious sushi for us. Despite that, the restaurant was full, we didn't have to wait long for our food. Thumbs up for friendliness and service! Thank you, anytime again!

Seldom eaten such delicious sushi. The service was great, nice and quick. We were definitely not there for the last time.

Expectations exceeded by far: The initially Asian hectic was compensated by good and courteous advice, the excellent sushi and a scoop of ice cream rounded off the evening. We went back to our hotel very happy.

Certainly I come here with my people and can rely on the impeccable service. The tables were cleaned perfectly and the chairs were extremely comfortable. This restaurant has de facto potential to become my new hangout. For my part, my friend and I , have long since ordered the whole menu up and down. The dish was served extremely quickly.

Very, very good sushi, I couldn't get out of the "wow moments" until the last bite ? The atmosphere is very pleasant and you can look for the delicacies at the Kaiten Bar. The service is also very good. The Sakura Kaiten is not exactly something for the budget, but in my opinion it is definitely good value for money. We would love to come back on our next visit to Leipzig.

The sushi is okay, price is way too high

Excellent quality sushi. Somehow more expensive than other restaurants but worth it. Very friendly staff.

Extremely overpriced. The fish is not fresh at all and for this price you would expect to get at least fresh fish. Also, we ordered several different special rolls (15€) each and had almost no fish. (You can see in the picture). The maki was also a joke. Super disappointing.. I would not recommend it at all.

Called to ask for an appointment and they hanged up! I guess they would not accommodate for English speakers.

The restaurant was hot so not sure if the fish were fresh... the food was overpriced for its quality... it was a sad dinner... ?

Considering that there is no good Sushi in Leipzig this place has the best fish. There is a little canal with wooden boats that carry small plates around the sushi counter which is cute. The chairs are way too close to each other so that you're bumping into your neighbor and sometimes have to listen to his or her conversation. Staff is trying to be friendly. It's not friendly to throw dirty dishes in a bowl and clean the counter with a smelly disinfectant at 10PM. We ordered a platter with different sushi, kindly asking if it would be possible to skip salmon. The menu encourages guests to make requests. 4 pieces were salmon. The rest was hit or miss. Some fish was pretty good. A real let down was the rice which wasn't fragrant and sticky but tasted cheap or old or both. We asked if they had a sake menu. The answer was yes. There is one tetra pack quality sake on the menu plus a small and sad wine selection. I think it is still worth travelling to Berlin for good Japanese. Here Zenkichi for fish and Cocolo for noodles are maybe two of the best places west of Osaka.

Nicke Sushi place

As the numerous reviews tell, here is really great yummy sushi! Without a reservation it will be difficult to get a seat! Saturday evening it was completely full but still the staff were very friendly and the service was great! The different sushi are really little works of art! Only the prices, especially for drinks are a bit too expensive! Nevertheless 5 stars!

Best sushi far and wide. I've really eaten a lot of sushi all over Germany but none of them can match the Sakura. You get great recommendations or can even express special wishes in the preparation. Unfortunately, not cheap, but quality has its price. Absolute recommendation for sushi lovers!

Best rated sushi restaurant in Leipzig on Google. I had to check it out. I ordered scallops and sushi in tempura, part with salmon and part with tuna. I ate the scallops for the first time, I think they liked to be roasted (hot at least), with a very delicate texture. The salmon in the sushi was as tender as the scallops. The only small hitch was the "tuna", or rather instead of a piece of meat, luncheon meat with spicy spices. It is really like that on the menu, I didn't read it. However, in my opinion a piece of fresh tuna would be much more appropriate. Despite everything, I am satisfied.

Running sushi where you don’t feel ripped off! Money well spent.

The sushi here is the best in the city and one of the best I have ever eaten! The fish is so fresh and the combinations so tasty! One could eat tons of that. I recommend the sushi bar, you have a lot of choice and you can even see the chefs cooking!

My favourite Japanese restaurant in Leipzig. One of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been. Very nice sushi and crunchy rolls. Waiters and cooks are very kind. They serve Ur-krostitzer, a plus.
